Macromedia Flash Developer Center | Learning resources for the ubiquitous and powerful interactive web development platform.
Swish Zone | Probably most Flash animations on the web today could be created in Swish Max, and we have Macromedia to thank. By opening the Flash animation standard, Macromedia has allowed other companies to develop competing applications that provide the same creative abilities of Macromedia's Flash. Many common functions and effects are streamlined in Swish Max. There are noteable limitations to Swish Max, but the latest version even includes much of the scripting capability of Macromedia's ActionScript. Check it out. If your project doesn't demand high-end video, data integration, or shape tweening, you'll find you can do it in Swish Max at less than a third of the cost of Flash. A great solution for institutions developing interactive or animated modules on a limited budget.
